Ben Affleck and Mick Jagger have teamed to create a short film that highlights some of the horrors of life in the Democratic Republic of Congo. It seems to me that Darfur gets all the news and that’s not right because about 5 million people have died in conflicts in Congo in the past few years.
Share this video with absolutely everyone you know. EVERYONE. It’s about damn time the world stands up and takes notice to what’s been happening in Congo. If we help these people, we help Virunga and all of Congo’s wildlife to survive. You can learn more about mountain gorillas and efforts underway to help the Congolese people at Wildlife Direct and the official Virunga National Park Rangers WEb site. You can learn about a project to create alternative fuels to fire cook stoves and save the forests.
If you own a cell phone, DVD player, or computer – Congo is your concern. If you’re interested in helping to save the last few mountain gorillas, then Congo is your concern.
