Whole Foods has a list of 25 Simple Suggestions to Green Your Life. Think locally, act globally. Those words have never been truer than right now.

Co-op America has a few ideas so you can take action on climate change:

1. Take action in your own life to curb climate change. Read our recent Real Money newsletter article on carbon offsets to learn more about offsetting carbon emissions, and find even more actions at our www.climateaction.org.

2. Read our editorial describing our 12-step plan for climate action. Post it to your Web site or blog, forward it to your friends, and send it to your elected officials. Make sure your elected officials know you expect bold action on climate change now.

3. Place your investments into socially responsible mutual funds that take action on climate change. You can find a list of socially responsible funds at www.socialinvest.org/areas/sriguide/mfpc.cfm.

4. Donate to Co-op America’s Climate Action Campaign and support our work to encourage corporate America to take meaningful action on climate change.

Defenders of Wildlife need your help to protect beluga whales.

Alaska’s iconic Cook Inlet beluga whales are disappearing — and they could vanish forever within our lifetime unless we act now.

Take action now — tell the National Marine Fisheries Service (NMFS) to protect Cook Inlet’s belugas before it’s too late!

The Cook Inlet once teemed with up to 1300 beluga whales — a genetically distinct population of these white whales. But sadly, their numbers have dropped to only around 300 in the last few decades.

Federal officials will decide soon whether to list the Cook Inlet belugas as an endangered species. These beloved whales need federal protection, but we have to speak up now to ensure they get the help they need.

Write federal officials today. Urge them to protect the Cook Inlet belugas for future generations. A decision could come as early as April 18th — so please take action today!

The NRDC Action Fund needs your help!

In just two days, NRDC Members and online activists have submitted over 50,000 Official Citizen Comments opposing a plan to strip Greater Yellowstone’s wolves of their federal protection and leave them at the mercy of Wyoming and Idaho.

But with the May 9 deadline fast approaching, state officials are circling, waiting for approval to kill hundreds of gray wolves in Yellowstone’s wild country and central Idaho.

We need to be “quicker on the draw” than the Bush Administration to prevent this senseless slaughter. Help us barrage the U.S. Fish & Wildlife Service with even more comments. Our goal is 200,000 Official Citizen Comments.
